Ingredients
The Oreo Crust:
- 12 whole Oreo cookies
- 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, melted
The Cheesecake Filling:
- 16 oz (450g) full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- ½ cup (100g) granulated white sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- ¼ cup (60g) sour cream, room temperature
- 6 Oreo cookies, coarsely chopped
The Topping:
- 4 Oreo cookies, crushed
- Whipped cream (optional, for serving)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Pan & Crust
- Lightly grease a 6-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- Pulse 12 whole Oreos in a food processor until fine crumbs form.
- Stir in melted butter until the crumbs resemble wet sand. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan to form an even layer.
- Place the pan in the freezer for 10 minutes to set while mixing the filling.
2. Mix the Filling
- In a medium bowl, beat room-temperature cream cheese and granulated sugar together on low speed until smooth and creamy (about 2 minutes). Avoid whipping at high speed to keep air pockets minimal.
- Beat in sour cream and vanilla extract.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed just until blended.
- Gently fold in the 6 coarsely chopped Oreos with a spatula.
3. Air Fry to Perfection
- Preheat your air fryer to 310°F (155°C) for 3 minutes.
- Pour the filling over the chilled crust and smooth the top.
- Cover the top loosely with aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning from the air fryer’s top heating element.
- Carefully place the pan into the air fryer basket. Air fry at 310°F (155°C) for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil for the last 3–5 minutes if the center still looks too wet, looking for a slight wobble in the middle while the edges are set.
4. Cooling & Final Setting
ADVERTISEMENT
- Turn off the air fryer and leave the drawer cracked open for 10 minutes to cool gradually.
- Transfer the pan to a wire rack at room temperature for 1 hour.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight preferred) to set fully.
- Garnish with additional crushed Oreos and whipped cream before slicing.
